“Industria Graphica FG is a family business that started in offset printing with our founder Giovanni Citro working in photolabs in Milan in 1969. We moved to Salerno and as technology advanced, like many offset companies; we moved into digital inkjet and bought our first RIP in 1999 when I was just 14 year’s old, learning about digital inkjet printing from my father.
We’ve made large investments into our company since then with a number of new machines including roll-to-roll and flatbed using eco solvent and UV. Our core business has grown to include home décor, textile, producing everything from signs, banners and car wraps to full interior design including flooring, tiles, curtains and wallpaper.
With so many machines and diverse printing, we needed software that could run all our different machines with excellent color. We tried other RIPs and couldn’t hit color consistently which is why we moved to ONYX. We started with ONYX PosterShop and moved to ONYX Thrive two years ago.
ONYX Thrive has been a good move for us, the color management options give us spectacular color output and ONYX version 18 means we can physically prove that output quality to our customers, keeping them coming back to us. The network license means we can move applications around when a printer is being serviced to keep production flowing, helping us keep our customer deadlines.
ONYX also helps us keep to our company philosophy of being eco-friendly and conscious of waste. With ONYX we save more ink without losing saturation. With ONYX we know when to recalibrate printers before printing which reduces waste. With ONYX, we print right the first time so our reworks are minimal.
